Muziek is een van de belangrijkste artistieke pijlers waar PLEIN op drijft. In veel culturen is muziek de meest ultieme vorm waarmee de mens in contact staat met zijn spiritualiteit. Muzikanten over de hele wereld gebruiken klanken om met elkaar te communiceren.

PLEIN JAZZ - My Funny Valentine Edition is de eerste van een serie tweewekelijkse  Jazzconcerten op de vrijdag in het PLEIN THEATER.

Op de 8x8 vloer van PLEIN gaat pianist Robin van Geerke als as fungeren in een muzikale bezetting binnen jazzkaders. Geflankeerd door 3 andere muzikanten gaat de virtuoos de grenzen van muzikaliteit aftasten. Het toepasselijke thema van de 14e februari is het toepasselijke 'My Funny Valentine' van Rodgers & Hart uit 1937. Dat wordt het vertrekpunt en het eindpunt zou weleens in een ander universum kunnen liggen.

On the 8x8 floor of PLEIN Robin van Geerke (piano) is the spill of jazz formations. Flanked by 3 other equivalent talented musicians van Geerke explores the bounderies of musicality. The applicable theme of February 14th is 'My Funny Valentine' by Rodgers & Hart (1937). Not bad as starting point, but sky is the limit!
